570 citizens were examined by the Minia University Integrated Development Convoy in the village of Bani Khiar in Abu Qurqas Center.
Minia University launched a medical convoy to Bani Khiar Village, center of Abu Qurqas, within the framework of the university's keenness to perform its leading role in the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building " that targets the most underprivileged villages and the group most in need in the governorates of Egypt, announced by Prof. Dr. Essam Farahat, Minia University President.
The university president was keen to meet with the medical teams before they headed to the village, accompanied by Dr. Ayman Hassanein, vice president for environmental development and community service, and Dr. Ashraf Othman, coordinator of the university's integrated convoys.
Prof. Dr. Ayman Hassanien, stated that the convoy included an elite of physicians in 11 various medical majors including pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, orthopedic, urology, dermatology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, thoracic, general surgery, Otolaryngology and Cardiology.
During the visit, the medical staff examined about 570 cases, and patients received free medications from the convoy's pharmacy based on their diagnoses.
On the other hand, the convoy also held several awareness seminars lectured by the academic staff from Faculty of Nursing.
