The Crisis and Disaster Management Unit, headed by Dr. Reham Adel Ayad, organized a two-day workshop under the slogan “Safe Practices in Metal Workshops” lectured by Dr. Wael Tharwat. During which he discussed the risks associated with the use of acids and fire, and presented ways to prevent them and how to use devices and equipment such as electric drills and others, in addition to safe work practices, the use of personal protective equipment, and safe handling of materials.

This came under the auspices of University President Prof. Essam El-Din Farahat, Vice President Prof. Ayman Hassanein, and Dean of the Faculty Prof. Amal Mohamed Abu Zeid. It came also to raise awareness of the importance of occupational safety and health within the university.
